ABEKA LEARNING PROGRAM

The K-4/K-5 program at Kids Stuff provides the children with a basic educational foundation for future experience.  Using the  ABeka curriculum, this program emphasizes phonics, reading, writing, number, colors, and simple arithmetic, as well as the development of language skills, listening skills, visual perception and motor skills.

Many public/private K-5 teachers have told us they can tell when a child in their class has attended Kids Stuff Preschool.

Our K-4/K-5 curriculum starts out each day with circle time where they go over days of the week, numbers  letters, shapes, colors, weather, Bible verse, and how are you today?

At their work area they have their names on table, they get their work boxes and they are ready to learn.  Each child will learn to write their full name and know their address and phone number.  They work on phonics, letters and shapes, math, reading, spelling/poetry, history, writing, health and science.  They will complete the 10 readers before they graduate from the class.

Papers are sent home daily to let parents know what they are working on. Children have areas in the room where they can have fun while learning and they go outside daily.

Graduation is in May and is always an exciting time for children and parents.

Positive reinforcement combined with a safe, caring, learning environment allows these children to excel and prepares them for school.
